New Build Sets The Bar For Crew Transfer Vessels

Atlantic Towage & Marine Ltd have further added to the fleet with the delivery of a multi-role crew transfer vessel, The Ocean Transfer. The 14 person crew capacity newbuild with yard no. B53 was built by Mooney Boats of Co. Donegal in partnership with Marine Design International. Designed for flexibility in the growing marine market, the versatile vessel offers choice for wind farm projects, marine surveys, and crew transfer operations. The Irish flagged CTV has a length of 13.98 m, a breadth of 3.95 m and a draught of 1.46 m. As for its power plant, this involves three 425-hp Yamaha V8 outboard engines, providing the CTV to reach speeds of more than 35 knots.

Constructed of class-approved marine-grade aluminium, Ocean Transfer, with its road-transportable design, can be deployed quickly across Europe for a range of operations.

Ocean Transfer features the latest technology for enhanced performance and control, including the Yamaha Helm Master system with integrated bow thruster for precise manoeuvering. In addition to automatic trim tabs to enable improved stability and increased fuel efficiency.

The CTV has innovative features such as diver ladder mounts, survey equipment holders, and advanced passenger comfort with heated ventilation and USB charging ports.

The newbuild’s classification society is Bureau Veritas and is compliant of the UK Workboat Code.
